Global Warming Makes Trees Grow Faster

The world forests are very important in absorbing the carbon dioxide from the environment. With a process called photosynthesis they release oxygen which human need to survive. With the large emission of carbon and other chemical compounds, the world faces with climate problems such as higher temperatures because of the presence of the greenhouse effect. Higher temperatures cause negative effect on nature, especially the ocean.

However, scientists discovered that global warming has positive impact on trees that live in the forests in Europe. A study exploring the specie Fagus sylvatica founded that these trees grow 70 per cent faster than usually and they have matured 32 per cent more.

Because of the greater amount of carbon in the atmosphere, trees can do more photosynthesis. With the global warming, periods of rest get shorter for trees, so they start vegetate earlier.

But this is bad for the trees at the end. Their number decreases every year. So, we have a kind of a paradox in nature at the moment. Trees are using more of the carbon, so they lower the carbon amount in the atmosphere.  However, many trees will not acclimatize after the climate change, thus making everything hopeless.
